GREENSBORO – Some critics of public universities worry there’s too much duplication across campuses.
Those folks need to take a look at all the collaborations between North Carolina A&T State University and UNC Greensboro.
“With UNC Greensboro, we have a number of initiatives,” Chancellor Harold L. Martin Sr. of N.C. A&T says in the accompanying video. He then lists several:
- Gateway University Research Park on 75 acres of N.C. A&T’s campus near Interstate 40 and East Gate City Boulevard.
- The N.C. A&T/UNCG Joint School of NanoScience and NanoEngineering, a combined undertaking of the two universities.
- And with UNCG, Guilford Technical Community College and Cone Health, the Union Square Campus, “a world-class facility for educating nursing graduates at all levels – bachelor’s, master’s and PhD,” Martin says.
“We’re excited about this collaboration, because we cannot produce enough nursing graduates at all levels in this community,” he says.
