GREENSBORO – Like many universities, North Carolina A&T State University is seeing increasing numbers of students choose to start at a community college, then transfer to N.C. A&T.
In the accompanying video, Chancellor Harold L. Martin Sr. says Guilford Technical Community College is one of N.C. A&T’s biggest partners; the university also recently announced a new partnership with Forsyth Technical Community College.
Martin outlines some of the options a student can choose for dual admission or dual enrollment:
- A student who has academic deficiencies can strengthen their skills at a community college;
- A student with no deficiencies might choose to spend the first year or two at a community college for financial reasons; or
- A student might want to take courses at both campuses, “which eases the transition to a four-year institution as well,” Martin says.
